Conference Travel Grants

Amounts received are dependent upon the cut-offs in place for the month in which your conference ends. The maximum award amount of funding for each student is $1,500 in a single year (July 1 - June 30).  There is no limit on the number of conferences the GSA will fund as long as they do not exceed the $1,500 yearly cap.

The maximum award amounts available for a single conference are as follows:

Attendee:

$100 per event independent of location

Presenter:

$300 per event in the Southwest (California, Arizona, or Nevada),
$400 per event in the United States,
$500 per event in Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, and
$600 per event for all other locations in the world.

These caps are re-evaluated quarterly based on available funding for the rest of the year. Applicants will be contacted and told how much they can expect to receive from GSA before their conference.
