• Academic Senate Open Committees: The Academic Senate invites students to participate as appointed representatives on some of its standing committees. Get the full list here. Contact the GSA president if you are interested in serving on any of these committees.

• Start a Mini-GSA: If your department does not have a departmental organization to represent graduate students, you should form one now. Mini-GSA’s offer the opportunity to have a unified graduate student voice for your department and help strengthen the voice of the entire graduate student body. To top it off, we will give your Mini-GSA $300 a year that you're free to spend on programs, speakers, or even just snacks at your monthly meeting. Learn more about the mini-GSA program.


• Conference Travel Grant Awards - effective July 1, 2012:

  Attendee:
  $100 per event independent of location
  
  Presenter:
  $300 per event in the Southwest (California, Arizona, and Nevada)
  $350 per event in the United States
  $400 per event in Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico
  $400 per event for all other locations in the world.
